All the Answers are Within us

It was 1997 and I had just met a man. I had a deep knowing inside of me that he was the man I was to marry. How could I know this since we had barely spoken to one another. One night that was not like any other, he came over and we talked until sunrise and we kissed for the first time. After this moment, he announced that he is moving two provinces away and his flight leaves in a few hours. 

It was like I got picked up by a whirlwind of one synchronicity after another. It is like the universe picked me up and effortlessly moved me within three months - two provinces away to be with my future husband. 

As all of it was happening, my rational mind wanted to know if this was right or not. Should I go along with this current or not? I knew nothing in meditation except for the concept of quieting your mind. 

In a very awkward way, I closed my blinds, lit a candle, burned some incense, and sat on my couch with closed eyes. I needed answers: This is what is happening… I don't even know this man. Should I continue on this path? And then I listened. 

I felt an expansion in my chest. 

I repeated this exercise everyday and I felt the same thing. What I discovered was my internal YES and my internal NO. 

This was a powerful discovery. Later when I opened my mind to esoteric teachings, I could never connect with pendulums. I guess I had already cultivated my internal pendulum.

I discovered my inner yes and my inner no. I could ask any question and my inner self would guide me in the right direction.
